Being raised from a te Ao Māori perspective has encouraged me to become a confident young Māori man. I am a confident speaker of te Reo Māori and a passionate performer of haka, where I have been the Kai Tātaki Tāne since primary school. I was privileged to lead my group in Ngā Kura Tuarua o Aotearoa 2022 competition where I received the award for the Kai Tātaki Tāne (best Male Leader).
I have had experience with the No. 75 Arawa Air Cadet Squadron where I became a Cadet Lance Corporal before leaving to focus on NCEA and Kapa Haka.
I have been fortunate to have been involved in Ngā Wānanga Mau Taiaha the legacy of Mita Mohi, which takes place on Mokoia Island for the past four years and am have been a Kaiako for the last two years during these wānanga.
I am a hard worker who is a valuable team player but have the initiative to be a great leader.
