Kia Orana, my name is Tumaru Mataio. I am a dedicated and passionate Pacific Representative at UCSA, committed to advocating for Pacific students and fostering an inclusive and supportive university environment. Below are my favorite hobbies, and on this resume is my life experience, leadership, and problem-solving skills, successfully balancing academic, leadership, and family responsibilities. With experience in student advocacy, governance, event coordination, and cultural engagement, I am driven to create meaningful change, and empower others. My role has equipped me with strong communication skills, the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by Pacific students in higher education. I am proactive in developing initiatives that support student success, wellbeing, and cultural identity, ensuring Pacific students feel seen, heard, and valued. I am passionate about mentorship and community engagement, I have worked closely with students, faculty, and external organizations to promote opportunities for Pacific students. My ability to multitask, adapt, and lead with empathy allows me to navigate complex responsibilities while maintaining a high level of commitment to my studies, leadership roles, and family life.
