I am a Dedicated and purpose-driven professional with over 20+ years of experience in leading youth and community initiatives in South Auckland. Specialises in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex social impact contracts, with a proven track record of achieving measurable outcomes for vulnerable rangatahi and whānau. Provided key leadership in New Zealand's first Social Bond initiative, the Reducing Youth Reoffending in South Auckland Pilot, overseeing multiple delivery teams while offering strategic direction, operational oversight, and mentorship. Recognised for the ability to build strong, trusted relationships across government, community, and corporate partners to drive long-term transformation.
Genesis Youth Trust was involved in the first-ever Social Bond initiative in New Zealand — the Reducing Youth Reoffending in South Auckland Pilot (2017–2023). This initiative was part of a broader effort to use Social Bonds as a mechanism to fund and drive outcomes for at-risk youth, specifically targeting those involved in youth offending. Genesis played a pivotal role in its design and implementation, contributing to its success in improving outcomes for over 600 rangatahi (youth) and their whānau.
As a leader in this initiative, I was responsible for overseeing the operational aspects, including managing multiple delivery teams, building strong partnerships with government agencies, local Organisations, and educational institutions, and ensuring the cultural appropriateness of the services delivered. The Social Bond focused on reducing youth reoffending through evidence-based interventions, including mentorship, family support, and targeted youth development programs.
