Operating 20t tracked grapple excavator loading log vessels. This position is a high pressure environment sorting and stacking logs from a crane with a grab bringing in 25t payloads every 6 minutes. Working in a dangerous position you have to be efficient and quick thinking. Planning 3 or 4 steps ahead of each payload to fit as much cargo as possible on the vessel. This job requires me to climb log stacks, tracking along unstable ground and working as quickly, efficiently and as safe as possible.

• Operated range of heavy equipment on regular basis with advanced skill. My experience includes tracking with bucket excavator and bulk earth works. Loading logging trucks, fleeting and sorting wood for load out. Hauling logs for extraction using skidders and swing yarders. Shovelling in cutover for log extraction.
• Operated excavators, skidders, swing yarders, bulldozers, log loaders in a production forestry environment.
• Adapted quickly to changing situations and weather. Planning for potential hazards.
• Demonstrated versatility in skillset by operating multiple types of heavy machinery when needed.

Working on the ground as a breaker out/qc log maker. For breaking out I was in the cutover hooking up logs with wire ropes for extraction. This position required me to be strong and quick minded for adapting to changing environments like weather and break downs. Have to have stamina, strength and endurance as it is one of the most physical roles in the industry. As a log maker I was responsible for trimming and cutting logs to length in a production forestry environment.
