Summary

I have worked for Wellington City Council as a Parking Officer for more than five years. As a person I love growing and improving in both my personal and professional life and over the last five years I have immersed myself into the following areas the Parking Services business offers and these are: stepping in to lead the Grey Team when my Senior Aaron Freeman was away, leading and mentoring the Yellow team for more then 5 months, learning and being a fully experienced Comms Officer, being a fully experienced Compliance driver, mentoring and training new Parking Officers, and a current Health and Safety rep. I believe all these experiences, skills and knowledge have helped me craft in becoming the best Parking Officer I can be and it has provided me solid knowledge in parking in Wellington. Along with having solid knowledge in parking as an On-Road Parking Officer I understand have important it is to provide exceptional customer service and how it is communicated. Having a university background in Accounting, Commercial Law and Taxation I miss the the office environment and thinking critically and creatively to resolve issues and problems. I believe the Senior Parking Officer role will fill this void and I know the expectation is being on road 75% of the time and being in office 25% of the time. I see the role as a great opportunity to give back my knowledge and skills I have acquired over the last four years to the organisation and current and new staff. I am always looking to learn and improve and have been looking at doing more leadership and health and safety courses with Simon Doherty. I see the Senior Parking Officer role as a fantastic opportunity to learn, network, gain experience from very seasoned managers and professionals to further my goal of being a Team Leader or being involved with management in the future.
