My experience spans multiple industries; Banking & Financial services (ASB Bank Limited, Kiwibank, Abbey National, WooHoo), Logistics (NZ Post Group), Consumer Retail (KiwiBank, Post Shop), Infrastructure & Property (Genesis Energy, Trillium, EC Harris). I also have extensive experience across all market segments - from Corporate & Government, Commercial, Small Medium Enterprise to Consumer.   • ESG Rural Go-To-Market strategy, designed & delivered and achieved the highest level of funding provided for BB/CB strategy and acquired funding from CCR. Key initiatives included,
  • Rural Sustainability Academy a performance-based training program targeted at enabling our people to understand ESG in the context of NZ Food & Fibre sector and have a compelling informed business conversation to support their customers to transition to a more resilient business. Delivered in partnership with NZ Rural Leader Trust - 90 people trained.
  • AgriZero investment- led due diligence and close out of the transaction.
  • Access to Experts, identified preferred partners and execution format that works within the culture of rural, customer learning events will take place throughout the country delivered by experts, displaying the value of farm planning & scenario planning, emissions (carbon, methane, and nitrous oxide), sequestration, soil management and water quality.
  • Farm Tools, a component part of the PAMU partnership, negotiations have concluded with 500 licences of FarmIQ and Farmaxx being offered at 50% discount to both ASB and non-ASB customers.
  • Future Use of Land Study, identified Lincoln University Innovation Hub to consolidate Future Use of Land Studies, identify key themes, barriers and enablers of transition, with a view to leveraging and identifying the suite of capital options needed and producing a horizon based proposition map.
  • Data Interoperability, assessment of upstream data aggregators already collecting ESG data for upstream distributors of primary product with a view to piloting their use for ASB reporting purposes. Reducing the admin load of customer and providing greater risk certainty for ASB.
  • ASB Access, developed revised proposition roadmap and execution pathway to scale ASB Access.
  • Figured, explore the development of an active commercial partnership to deliver to the growing needs of the Food & Fibre sector inclusive of lending origination and data driven identification of financial needs to be met and potential integration to ASB’s nCino instance.
  • BankiFi - Led partnership development and proof of concept trial of a SaaS enabled business cash management platform and payment app. ASB commitment to a large-scale technology investment prevented this fully integrated partnership from progressing
  • Project Bronco - Led M&A due diligence, transaction didn't proceed due to commercial partnership not progressing.
  • Project Horizon, led Commercial DD and progression of the investment. Transaction didn't proceed due to commercial partnership not proceeding
  • Hnry Partnership, led the development of the Partnership from initial concept, gaining board buy-in from Hnry’s board to scope partnership, documenting strategic alignment & risks, modelling commercial impact and negotiating terms.
  • Reduced Hnry’s flight risk as a valued customer, escalated and secured commitment to deliver and fund the API required to stabilise banking provision. 80% of this API can be reused for other customers.
  • Virtual Account Management, scoped and validated the need to develop a virtual account management system as a long-term replacement for PT with added scope to meet more needs and providing a new suite of opportunity for BB/CB & PB.
  • Forge (digital reimagined) provided SME fro the development of a shared digital experience for personal and simple business needs and a dedicated business experience for complex digital needs

  • Market Entry (UK) - Woohoo Tax, Woohoo NZ wanted to establish itself in the crowded UK market. I was engaged to develop UK Brand and Go to Market Strategy. Created UK analysis model; conducted extensive market research; identified and built affiliate partnerships; set budget and developed forecasting model; and developed strategies for brand and market entry, digital marketing and social media. Succeeded improving leads conversion from 0.043% to 6%, with an investment plan to increase to industry-standard 11% within 6 months
  • Design and Delivery of YouShop - New Zealand Post Group, New Zealand Postal Group sought to dominate inbound parcel growth from online shopping across multiple markets, including the USA, Asia and UK. Led concept development, design, and delivery of new service. Conducted market analysis; scoped consumer & SOHO requirements; modernised sending/receiving experience through the establishment of digitally enabled services; and developed pipeline of digital to physical propositions. Identified and established Partnerships. Succeeded in delivering YouShop service & Partnership with Singapore Post, achieving approx. NZD 300m in new revenues.
  • Design of New Loyalty Programme (for Online Segment)- New Zealand Post Group, New Zealand Postal Group were suffering from increased competition and struggled to retain certain high usage groups such as online traders. Developed Trader Segment & Loyalty Programme in partnership with key trader platforms (including TradeMe) to encourage customer retention. Identified customer needs and shortfalls of existing services; developed reward point loyalty programme; implemented additional value-added services such as address labels. Succeeded in retaining NZD 220m for postal services from trader clients.
  • Product Simplification - New Zealand Post and Courier Post, New Zealand Postal Group's postal services were too complex, resulting in a lack of staff understanding and conflicting information given to customers. Led simplification of postal services. Analysed existing services; identified needs and paint point; secured CEO buy-in to changes; reduced number of ways to post domestically from 147 to 7; and conducted regional testing. Succeeded in rolling out dramatically simplified service nationwide, promoting better staff understanding, reducing the risk of conflicting advice to consumers and significantly reducing costs.
  • Retail Transformation - KiwiBank - Post Shop, KiwiBank needed to strengthen its brand within the Post Office retail network. Seconded as Senior Transformation Consultant to transform existing branches. Led strategy development for pilot phase; designed new physical store format; rolled out new store design for testing; launched new transactional banking service; upgraded technology to improve processes for retailers and franchisees; and launched new services across entire retail network. Succeeded in reducing operating costs in stores by 70%, reducing queues and improving brand perception.
