Duties Responsibilities

Manage recovery of patient’s post-surgery including IV and medication administration. Closely monitor patient for signs of surgical complications in recovery room. Maintain flexibility with scheduling and job assignments in order to cover patient needs. Assesses patient’s health condition and needs based on their physical, mental, social and familial circumstances. Analyses patient needs through comprehensive data pertaining to each patient’s pain, symptoms and support system - then formulates a tailored plan of care accordingly. Provides comprehensive, direct and individualized patient care through evidenced-based knowledge and clinical nursing practice. Demonstrates critical thinking abilities to accurately assess the patients’ health, detect any changes in symptoms, health or pain, and responds to changes in an appropriate and timely manner.
