Results-oriented Electrical Engineer with expertise in power protection and systems. Developed protection standards and conducted fault studies to improve system performance and safety. Specialized in complex relay settings and network modeling, enhancing reliability and efficiency in engineering projects.
As Electrical (Protection) Engineer, I moved into this role with previous experience working at substation.
My Key Responsibilities in this role were :
Developed and verified protection relay settings and configuration files for intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) across generation, transmission, and distribution assets to enhance system reliability.
Performed comprehensive fault studies and network modeling using PSS/E, PowerFactory, CAPE to determine short-circuit currents and calculate optimal relay coordination margins.
Established and implemented protection standards for line, busbar, transformer, and feeder protection schemes, ensuring high sensitivity, speed, and selectivity.
Trained and Educated on Programmed advanced logic functions within numerical relays (Siemens SIPROTEC, ABB) to execute automated control and interlocking schemes.
As a Electrical (Power) Engineer, my focus was on primary high-voltage equipment. I received 3 months on-site training.
My Key responsibilities were :
