Wendy Thorn

Summary

I am a 56-year-old lady I have been a support worker for the last 20 years in my own home; now in my client's home. This position has become a shared care position, so I am looking for a new challenge in the workforce.

I enjoy meeting new people, helping them be all they can be, enabling them to participate in the community where possible.

I have had 5 clients in my 20s of caring in the special needs sector. Have used Hoists, done PC care, worked with not verbal clients, wheelchair bound and head injury clients. I see my people for who they are and not there disability.

I enjoy working with children of all ages and have run the Oscar Holiday Programme for many years. I am reliable, trustworthy, a fast learner, willing to give anything a go for my clients needs.
