  • Responsibilities: Attend to the daily running of the retail store including, but not limited to, assisting customers with their purchases; operating the point-of-sale system, processing payments; maintaining a clean, organised and visually appealing shop floor, including restocking shelves and arranging both in store and window displays; inventory tasks – placing orders, and processing incoming stock, and transferring stock out to and in from our sister pharmacy; contributing to a positive team environment working with the pharmacy team; undertaking rolling stocktakes; creating reports in point-of-sale system to determine ordering needs, taking passport photos, gift wrapping; undertaking self-training to keep up knowledge of products in store.
  • Achievements: Strong rapport with customers, and relationship building with regular customers; I am working on a Retail ‘Bible’ for the store for any future retail staff that come to the store; I have created a ‘database’ of our suppliers and the goods they supply; and I have created shelf pricing so that not every individual item needs to be priced which not only saves on labels but also saves on time having to put the labels onto the products. At the present time I am working on creating lists of our souvenir products from our suppliers so there are lists from each supplier ready for placing the order at the start of the season. Me doing these things is where my Administration skills have come into play.

Hobbies and Interests

Camping trips, in our tear drop camper, with my partner; going for rides with my partner on our BMW 1200R bike; walking; working on, and developing, our garden; working on the Family Tree from both sides of my family.

Keeping in close contact with family & friends is important to me.

Volunteer Experience

Friends of the Emergency Department (FED) with St John, 2022, 2023, Providing a variety of non-clinical patient support in the ED, to help reduce stress and aid the through the ED process. It was a very rewarding experience; and enjoying giving back to the community.
