I have been working as an Auditor at KPMG for the past 2 years. This role has instilled a diligent approach to my professional outlook and has provided learning opportunities which would have been unobtainable elsewhere. Throughout my time with KPMG I have been entrusted with several responsibilities and perform the following tasks daily:

• Identify control gaps in processes, procedures and systems through in-depth research, assessment and suggested methods for improvement.
• Participate in interviews, performed observations, and evaluated pertinent information to supplement audit findings.
• Perform substantive analytical procedures over key accounts and balances.
• Perform strategic planning, execution, and finalization of audits.
• Coached junior team members and provided the appropriate guidance where necessary.

I worked full-time in operations at Mainfreight. I began my time handling freight and understanding the fundamentals of the business. As each day passed I was entrusted with more responsibility and was able to gain a valuable insight into the diverse supply chain network within the transport and logistics industry. Throughout my journey with Mainfreight, I was able to share my opinions on key decisions which impacted the future direction of the business. This role has been invaluable to my career. I have gained many key learnings and a vicious work ethic which is transferable to any new role.

I worked part-time for Red Bull New Zealand as a Student Brand Manager. Throughout the duration of this role I was in direct contact with various consumers and customers. I was also responsible for inviting product trials, helping establish Red Bull consumption in diverse occasions, supporting the sales teams, working with renowned athletes and ensuring an unforgettable brand experience for consumers at Red Bull events. This role required a high degree of independent, innovative and entrepreneurial thinking. I was often tasked with creating new ways of reaching our key consumer groups through activations, events and spontaneous marketing. Additionally, this role provided me with a great insight into consumer patterns, working dynamics and the importance of time management and planning.
