William Riley

I am currently a second-year university student at the University of Canterbury studying Commerce majoring in Economics and Finance. I was named as a School Prefect at the beginning of 2024, which was an achievement I worked hard for. Being a School Prefect has allowed me to develop various skills including leadership and the opportunity to participate in community events like the Anzac Day service. Rowing is a sport that I am passionate about. It has resulted in me developing a large range of skills including excellent time management, discipline and a strong work ethic. I have gone on to becoming a coach at Auckland Grammar, which involves teaching and mentoring first year boys as they learn to develop their own rowing skills. I am also a trained Lifeguard and have spent numerous hours volunteering at the Surf Life Saving club in Pauanui over summer holidays.
