Skills Summary
This summer was the first time I have worked in an office setting which was the first time I was required to communicate with non-technical co-workers. In doing so I had to teach and explain the work I was doing in a way that was understandable and professional., My minor in business analytics has really allowed me to bridge the gap between the technical side of software development and data analysis to the actual business needs of the employer. This was put to use in my most recent employment where I had to understand the industry and business in order to prioritize mission critical milestones., The industry the last business I worked at is one I am relatively unfamiliar with, being RF and tele-communications hardware. To perform my role, I had to learn about both the industry and business processes which I had never been exposed to before. Being on a 2-month contract this had to be done quickly, and I managed to find my footing quickly., I have much experience in both short-term and long-term time management. Working in a kitchen environment is fast paced, managing time on a minute by minute or day to day basis. In my job at Intelcom I was working in a multi-week context as I had a set leaving date and had to manage my time effectively to ensure I completed my task before then.
