In 2017 I had my first experience in being a voting officer, I issued votes to voters, I updated contact information for voters who had moved or left the country within the gap of the last elections held, I also enrolled new voters who had never voted before or those who turned 18. In 2020 my job for the electoral commission was to meet and greet the voters, show them where to get their votes and also make sure that the covid safety guidelines were being followed by staff and voters. I had the responsibility of making sure we were well stocked with handsanitizers and mask. everybody was keeping a 2 metre distance and we had no more than 50 voters in the building at a time.
Working in the Kiwifruit, I was able to bud thin, flower pick and summer prune which is only a few of the seasonal work required for this job. but these jobs i managed to do easily as i worked alongside a very good team of 8.
Whilst working at the resthome, I had the job of providing hot beverages and sandwiches to the residents, I prepared vegetables for the daily soups and meals, dated and stored food, took out the rubbish, cleaned dishes and kitchen equipment and I also delivered prepared trays for the residents who were immobile.
