Student Teacher Internship
- Taught Mathematics to Year 9, 10, 11, and 12 students, delivering an average of 14 lessons per week over a two-month practicum. Covered a wide range of topics including Trigonometry and Pythagoras, Solving Linear Equations, Exponents and Logarithms, and more.
- I learned how to use a variety of assessment methods to evaluate students' understanding, how to present knowledge in diverse ways to help students deepen their memory and application skills, and how to apply essential classroom management techniques.
- Served as a Teacher Assistant for a student with dyslexia, supporting note-taking, clarifying instructions, and providing tailored guidance to ensure the student could learn at their own pace. This experience deepened my understanding of the importance of building strong connections with students, whānau, and staff.
