My Philosophy about ECE
My name is Ada Zhou. Becoming an early childhood teacher has been one of the most meaningful milestones in my life and career. I have always enjoyed spending time with children, and I am passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and respectful environment where they feel safe and valued.
I believe that strong, positive relationships between teachers and whānau are essential in supporting children’s holistic development. My philosophy is that children learn best through play—play is not just an activity, but a vital way for children to make sense of the world, build relationships, and develop their identity. As a teacher, I strive to be responsive, reflective, and culturally respectful, so that every child feels empowered to grow and thrive.
