Since working for Move Logistics, I had worked in all fields that the warehouse had to offer, when the opportunity to transition to the office and learn new skills came to rise, I went for it. As many of the Asahi team members will know, I was successful in landing the job. Whilst being Asahi’s customer service point at Move, I learned a plethora of skills, such as:

Overall responsibilities - Working in a team environment as the 2IC picking and packing orders on a daily basis. Operating a Reach truck and Fork Lift. Coordinating and communicating with the transport companies everyday. This requires great organizational and communication skills. Making sure orders are processed in a timely manner and also ensuring they were completed before target deadlines and cut offs. Strive to meet my monthly KPI’s. I have built strong relationships with carrier providers that in turn are happy to assist and help rectify if any problematic deliveries/issues arose. In building these strong relations. I will be able to carry these over to my new role and use them to my advantage.

After working at Move Logistics for a year as my first job out of High school I successfully landed the position and promotion of the Night shift Supervisor. The responsibilities for this role included being a team leader to a team of 8 staff. This was the first time I had the opportunity to further my leadership skills and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenging yet rewarding experience. It gave me a really good insight into how important being organized is when leading a team. I learnt how to efficiently use my time wisely. It also helped increase my time management skills. This pushed me to think faster on my feet, and handle any employee disagreements in a professional and fair manner.
