I'm a motivated Sales Assistant who is committed to providing loyal and affable customer service. I am organised, detail-oriented and empathetic to customer and staff needs.
Through Miller's, I've gained independence, allowing me to be comfortable running a store on my own, and with my experience at Farmers, I've learned to work on a larger scale with a changing team to become proficient at helping customers find the products and services that they need and effectively promoting/recommending targeted rewards and stock.
I am adaptable and knowledgeable about preparing displays, merchandising shelves and assisting customers through POS. I prefer a closer approach with customers to drive loyalty, and I am flexible with my hours, primarily available evenings, weekends, and holidays for part-time work.
I enjoy a smart-casual environment with a focus on homewares or fashion, and I am always ready to work more if needed.
I work at Farmers Shore City as a level 2 sales and service assistant. My role here is very versatile and includes working in various areas of the store. Initially, I worked 1 year full-time in homewares, where I discovered my passion for the department. Since then, I worked in different departments until being moved to ladieswear permanently.
I can use the POS system fluently as I have just over two years' experience. This experience also allows me to use the system efficiently to provide faster and smoother service. I can:
Check online stock system for different sizes, colours, and branches.
Order transfers of stock to and from my branch.
Sign customers up for the Farmers Club Card and use this information to provide further service.
Process returns/refunds.
Process online orders
Process broken stock (returning to vendor/writing off stock)
Provide service via telephone
As part of my role, merchandising various departments was expected. I can read priority orders and apply them to the store. This means I can set up displays, change department layouts, and change and adjust mannequin outfits. I also have experience with stock take (counting physical stock and comparing to stock online for discrepancies).
During my time at Farmers, I have worked in every department. I am familiar with the department and the various promotions of each:
Fashion (ladies, men's, children's).
Homewares (server wear, small appliance, furniture, manchester).
Cosmetics (beauty and skincare).
Fragrance (ladies and men).
Children's toys.
Millers was a store located in Glenfield Mall. The store was on the smaller side, and I worked independently most of the time, often opening and closing the store alone. From this, I learned to manage on my own regarding customer and store responsibilities.
Miss Currant was a summer pop-up booth at Albany Mall from late 2019 to early 2020. I provided samples of their nutritional drink and explained the skin, gut, and energy benefits behind using it.
