  • I have been handling a book of over 300 Clients, their needs, changing of assets, claims and payment plans all whilst succeeding in bringing on new business clients.
  • The Role of a broker has been challenging in many ways. I Learnt not only one policy per risk, but multiple policies across different insurance companies, needing to compare them actively to determine what cover is right for each client you have whilst taking into account the clients preference.
  • Participated in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in personal lines insurance.
  • Held High retention rates through attentive service and regular touchpoints with clients, Phone over email to actively work on client rapport.

  • I was a part of our inbound centre and handled queries from a client base of over 115,000 clients - across domestic, rural and commercial lines.
  • I also acted as a travel agent/ broker for Cover-more travel insurance, handling queries from not only all of our clients but staff also.
  • Myself and a colleague were the two first consultants to transfer down to the South island in order to establish FMG's emerging Christchurch service centre team. This involved assuming temporary leadership responsibilities including training and ongoing support for the new team over the first 6 months without leadership or guidance as FMG had not filled the senior and team-leader positions prior to establishing the team.
  • Conducted thorough policy reviews for existing clients, identifying gaps in coverage and recommending appropriate solutions.

This job was very different to the hospitality field I have thrived in for all my working life but I learnt a lot from both the kids and my experiences with the other staff members. I Developed strong relationships with families, providing regular updates on child progress and establishing trust.

McDonald's was my first job and it came with many challenges but i had a really good supporting team of staff around me and this job sparked the drive i have to do well and complete tasks with both speed and accuracy.
