ARIA RENATA

As a Sales Assistant, I have traveled extensively across New Zealand, participating in major sales events such as the Women's Welfare Show, Home Show Hamilton, and the Home and Garden Show, as well as smaller markets. My experience has allowed me to connect with diverse audiences, demonstrating strong communication skills while balancing my introverted and extroverted qualities to effectively complete tasks and foster positive interactions. Additionally, I am currently serving as a Māori Student Ambassador for Victoria University, where I support current Māori students and guide Year 13 students considering higher education. This role has provided opportunities to enhance my leadership and communication skills through community engagement at events like the Waikato Information Evening.

Fluent in Māori, I have a deep understanding of its cultural aspects, demonstrated through my experience waitressing at significant events such as Poukai and Koroneihana, as well as various school events.

• Leading voice (karanga) in the first raising of 'Manawa', the flag of the Māori Kingship, upon school grounds this year in 04/23.
• Student mentor/leader for the annual Hallberg Foundation Sports Day this year, held at Ngā Taiātea Wharekura in 04/22.
• Founding member and lead vocalist of Kauhanganui, senior council music band, committed to sharing positive and uplifting messages to school and wider community events.
• House Leader, fundamental in achieving first equal in the inter-house chant-off competition and first place overall for inter-school Top Town for 2022.
• Skilled marksman of Māori Weaponry, representing as a student ambassador for Ngaa Taiaatea at the regional Māori Land War commemorations (Te Maataarae ki Rangiriri - Te Puutake
