At Gibbos, you quickly learn to be agile as customers can often converge on you while you are preparing food for later in the day or, in some cases, for the next day. While working here I have formed a lot of good relationship with both my co-workers and the customers.

• Maintained a clean and hygienic work station, adhering to all relevant food safety guidelines.
• Serving multiple customers fast and effectively, under pressure.
• Leading a team of 3 or 4 and finding the best solutions for us to work smoothly.
• Assisted customers with product selection by making recommendations and suggestions based on customer needs.
• Checked quality of products and removed expired items.
• Stocked and rotated food items according to expiration dates.
• Demonstrated adaptability when assuming additional responsibilities during busy periods or staff absences, ensuring smooth operations.
• Handled high-pressure situations calmly, maintaining composure during busy periods or difficult interactions.
• Count the money accurately and store the float, ensuring someone double-checks for accuracy.
• Ensure all items are secured and devices are turned off before closing the shop.

Occasionally, I had the opportunity to work in the canteen at Whakatāne Intermediate School. Here I learned to move quickly and calculate food prices and totals efficiently.
