Set route run from Christchurch to Cromwell (Mainfreight 2homes), with occasional running to Nelson/Blenheim and Timaru and Dunedin

• Set route run (5 nights a week) Christchurch depot to New World Greymouth (Ambient Groceries) and general freight in to Grey Valley Couriers, and occasional return freight Ex Grey Valley, Bridgestone or Gloriavale to Christchurch depot.

• Inspected vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
• Maintained accurate logs of vehicle inspections and repair status.
• Assisted with loading and unloading freight when necessary.
• Adhered to company policies and procedures related to safety and security standards.
• Participated in training sessions regarding safe driving practices and defensive driving techniques.
• First started with company (March 2013) relief driving on contract out of Invercargill Freezing works carting bins of Ofal to Timaru Pet Food Manufacturer. At end of this contract period, I continued on with the company as a Relief/Backup driver, covering "overflow" runs, drivers on leave or sick, as well as working within the other branches of the company, as required.
• Was given "full time" contract within about 3 months of being there, where part of the work load was checking of trailers (gear and equipment, service faults/repairs, depot setups, on call to assist with vehicle breakdown/recoveries, ensuring all vehicle permits, RUC, COF were current and up to date
