Summary

I am a motivated and keen worker, my passion has always involved working with vehicles as I've been around cars and workshops since I was a newborn. I am also a amateur car photographer where unfortunately a stolen camera has put a halt to that hobby for the time being. Thank you for the time to read my cv and would love to be considered for this role to open up the door again to the automotive world

Work History

Plumbing Apprentice

Rutherford Plumbing Limited
03.2022 - 06.2024

I worked as an apprentice plumber where over the years I learnt basic plumbing skills for Kainga Ora homes where I also learnt skills in:

  • Managing, dealing and conversing with clients to ensure we had clear communication.
  • Filling out correct paperwork necessary for the job to be completed.

Builder

Scott Commercial
04.2021 - 12.2021

I worked for Scott Commercial after a Covid outbreak. I learnt basic insurance building work where my role was then changed to a Labourer. This involved:

  • Dropping off the required materials to builders and collecting rubbish from worksites.

It was a great team to be involved with but I was looking to forward my career

Panelbeater

Motive Auto Restorations
03.2020 - 04.2021

Bodywork and painting was my passion and I had always loved my classic cars. In my time working at Motive, I was given the opportunity to:

  • Increase my skills in panel beating and using the tools and machines available in the workshop
  • Learn to weld and fabricate new and custom panels and pieces.
  • Learn about having care with high end cars and became experienced in driving left hand vehicles as well as manual left hand drive vehicles.

Builder

Gracie Builders
01.2019 - 02.2020

I worked as a builder hammer hand for Ryan Gracie. In that time, I learnt plenty of building skills with building high end homes for companies such as Heritage Homes and GJ Gardener. Ryan also owned EVIL69 which is one of the top burnout cars in the country and I became involved with the burnout scene and gaining knowledge on helping him work on his many project cars he had at the time.

Spray Painter/Panel Beater

Judd And Charles
04.2017 - 12.2019

After leaving school early, I found my first job in an insurance panel shop. Here I spent time in the panel beating side of the shop where I:

  • Learned to strip, repair and put together cars
  • Learnt about prepping and masking cars ready for paint, mixing paint correctly and small painting jobs.

Learning these skills gave me a keen eye for detail where I can notice slight imperfections in paint work.
