Royal Brisbane and Woman's Hospital is a the biggest and most diverse Hospital and Health system in the southern hemisphere with capacity of 929 beds. 19 years as Ward Administrator, my contracts had been situated all over the Hospital campus for the first few years. my first permanent placement was the Medical Assessment and Planning Unit. Last contract held I occupied Ward 9ANorth which is Surgical Perioperative Services department. Ward Administrators work front of Ward in autonomously amongst clinicians and other health professionals. Front of Hospital staff are expected to be courteously while remaining calm and empathetic ensuring that patient care and safety is the priority and focus, being mindful of cultural diversities. the aim is to deliver excellent care underpinned by our establishment's values of respect, integrity, high performance, teamwork and compassion.
