I have a six-month volunteering experience at an old age home, complemented by a project I undertook during my fourth semester while pursuing my Bachelor of Education. This project specifically focused on elderly care, involving active participation in supporting residents during outings and tours. Engaging in these activities provided me with a firsthand understanding of the day-to-day lives of the elderly within the facility. By immersing myself in their routines and interactions, I not only gained practical insights into their needs and challenges but also developed a profound appreciation for the importance of companionship and support in their lives. This experience significantly enriched my perspective on elder care and deepened my commitment to contributing positively to the well-being of the elderly.
