Commis Chef with 7 months of experience in a fine dining restaurant. Assisting other chefs in food prep, plating cooking. I learnt to work well in fast-paced cooking and food prep environment with particular expertise in multitasking and learning quickly, while working under pressure.
After working part time as a kitchen hand for one year, I started working full time helping the chefs in the kitchen; doing the sides and canapes. I learnt new skills in different areas of the kitchen outside of my previous kitchen hand roles.
For approximately 1 year i worked as a part time kitchen hand, which involved washing the dishes, cleaning and sanitising the kitchen and machines, and preparing food such as potatoes, beans, asparagus, grapes, lettuce, etc.
I played trombone with Pukekohe High School Stage Band and Concert Band. During this time, we performed nationally against other NZ schools, achieving Gold awards.
Recently, I gained a Merit for Grade 5 Trombone with Trinity College London.
I have spent time with an electrical company on work experience which involved both industrial, commercial and residential work.
