David Schaaf

26(M) Qualified Transmission Line Mechanic based in Auckland NZ, 4 years experience doing maintenance and project work around NZ working on various structure types including poles and towers from 66KV to 220KV, currently experienced in new construction of pole and tower lines including stringing, along with a large amount of exposure to various types of maintenance jobs.

Primary work experience done working at heights climbing structures, man cage and EWP trained. I have also done a stint with HV cables department so am trained in confined spaces and familiar with EHV cable hauls and set up.

I am highly a motivated individual with ambition to be involved in larger projects to help upskill my career, looking for opportunities to relocate and ready and willing to travel for work. I am always looking for opportunities to improve my workmanship and upskill, very interested in pursuing a Live Line certification.
