I am a very reliable and hard working young woman that is able to quickly pick up on different skills needed within various workplaces. My educational background has allowed me to gain a greater understanding on working with different people from various cultures, as well as the importance of health and wellbeing and the many factors that can affect this. I have a very polite, respectful, relaxed, and friendly nature that allows for me to get on well with others that I am working with as well as any members of the public that I may interact with. Within any workplace, I aim to be a positive, motivated and reliable worker that my employers will be glad they chose to employ.
While working at Wairarapa Hunting and Fishing I have become one of the main members of the staff that are entrusted to carry out tasks to a high standard.
As a customer service industry it has allowed me to interact with many different members of the public in a friendly and helpful manner to provide them with technical information on products throughout the store myself, or otherwise direct them to members of the staff that I know would be able to help them with what they are needing.
I was quickly trusted to operate the computer systems and carry out tasks throughout the store on my own, and have also been given the responsibility of guiding and delegating tasks to new and casual members of staff.
I have worked at Robinson's Nursery over the university summer breaks since November 2018, as well as a part time position throughout 2021 as I continued to study. During this time, I gained a lot of experience working as a team member within a large group made up of a diverse range of people. I was also trusted by my employer to step in to a management role to organise and direct my team to carry out our work when the manager of my team was on leave.
During my time of employment at Curia Market Research I was tasked to call people throughout New Zealand to ask if they would be willing to complete a survey based around the 2020 election as well as other important topics throughout the country. This required me to speak clearly to people of all ages, especially older individuals, as well as interact positively and calmly with people that either were or were not interested in participating in the surveys.
I worked at QualChem in Masterton throughout two summers before going to university. During this time I greeted visitors or callers daily to handle questions or direct them to appropriate staff. I also worked on the company website, adding products onto the site, and carried out various other tasks asked of me throughout the workplace.
During my time at Bin Inn, I engaged positively with each customer, providing professional and polite support for sales and service needs. I also restocked shelves, calculated pricing, applied discounts and collected payments to process transactions.
