For the past two years I have been working with a young boy, age 10, who has autism, and his now thirteen year old sister weekly. I have also babysat children ranging from one to fourteen years old for multiple other local families throughout high school and whilst at University.

A highlight of this work was organising and running activities involving face painting, crafts, and dancing at a Tea Party event for some local disabled children and young adults.
  • Villa Maria College Peer Support Leader (2021) - As part of a peer support leadership team I was responsible for ensuring the new year nines had a smooth transition into life at high school. This involved organising social events for them to bond with other new students, meeting with the students weekly to discuss how they were finding Villa, and providing a general system of support as needed.
  • Villa Maria College PTA Volunteer (2021). In this position, I helped set up and pack down the venue, washed glassware, and passed food round to the parents and families of pupils at various fundraising events.

Sporting Involvement

  • Christchurch Netball Centre Umpire (Mar 2022 - Present) - Every Monday and Saturday, I am a volunteer umpire official for one to three netball games
  • Technical Netball Club’s E Team (Mar 2024 - Present) - I have been a positive enthusiast teammate who has helped support the team’s captain over the past two seasons.
  • The University of Canterbury Netball Club’s (Mar 2023- Sept 2023) - I was an encouraging team mate who helped to run trainings and drills.
  • West Melton Netball Club (Mar 2012 - Sep 2022) - Throughout the decade, I was part of various teams for the Club. During this time I was also a Volunteer Club Umpire (from 2015), Coach for Year 5/6 Team (2022), and Umpire Supervisor for junior umpires.
