- I am currently employed at the Sexual health service at Tauranga Hospital in Bay of Plenty, NZ
- My vision is to improve access to sexual and reproductive healthcare by removing barriers especially for vulnerable and at risk clients by offering a “one stop shop” model of care
- I run specialty LARC Clinics (Long acting reversible contraception) within our service providing IUD, Mirena and Implant insertion and removal
- I also train doctors and nurses to become proficient with these procedures
- I am passionate about outreach and run a nurse led drop in clinic offering care in a rural and lower socio economic town called Te Puke
- I work hard to offer compassionate and non judgemental care to all clients working closely with LGBQ, Maori and Pacifica, transgender and vulnerable youth.

- My clinical role included contraceptive initiation and change of method including LARC procedures, cervical screening, STI testing and treatment, early pregnancy management and abortion referral processes
- I offered health promotion regarding sexual health safety,family violence screening, alcohol and drug screening plus smoking cessation
- I mentored new nurses and medical students and trained GPs to do IUD fitting
- I achieved my community nurse prescribing qualification in 11/2017 which gave me autonomy with prescribing
- I coordinated and ran a rural outreach clinic since 9/2019 in Katikati
- I was also employed as a Telehealth nurse doing virtual consultations since 10/2020.

- I was employed to train nurses, doctors and midwives to upskill with contraceptive Implant insertion and copper IUD plus Mirena insertion techniques
- This comprehensive training package we offered was mostly to rural poor access GP practises and Maori health providers under the new LARC contract
- I found applying this skill in a teaching role in very vulnerable communities very rewarding and gave me a broader view of the huge health inequity in rural NZ.

- For 7 years I worked as a 24/7 on call DSAC trained nurse working alongside medical colleagues
- We performed forensic examinations on survivors post sexual assault offering a wraparound service involving counsellors, doctors and police in a very rewarding and multi disciplinary role.
Cervical Screening Outreach Nurse

- I was employed by a Maori health provider service to offer cervical screening access to vulnerable wahine in an outreach model
- My clinics were located in community centres, GP practises, maraes and sometimes home visits if required
