Additional Information

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work across several countries, including South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Australia and New Zealand, gaining extensive international experience in mining, construction, manufacturing and heavy industry. Working within diverse cultural and regulatory environments has strengthened my ability to lead multicultural teams, build strong stakeholder relationships and successfully deliver complex projects under varying operational conditions.

My international assignments required careful planning and coordination of logistics, procurement and supply chain activities, including sourcing materials locally where possible, managing imported equipment and ensuring timely delivery to often remote project locations. I worked closely with local contractors and suppliers, negotiated service agreements, recruited and managed temporary workforces and ensured full compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

Over the years I have contributed to a wide range of mining projects spanning both underground and open-pit operations, establishing new mining and material handling facilities and supporting operational expansions. As a subcontractor to mining companies, I was involved in projects for organization's including Aveng Mining and shaft sinking, Cronimet Chrome Mining SA, Anglo American(Amandelbult Mine), Andulusite resources and Stefanutti Stocks at the Madupi Power Station. These projects strengthened my expertise in operational planning, project execution, contractor management and continuous improvement.

I relocated to Australia to broaden my experience within a highly mechanized mining environment, where I gained valuable exposure to advanced underground mining methods, modern equipment and productivity-focused operational practices. The knowledge and experience acquired during this period significantly enhanced my technical and leadership capabilities.

Following an attractive career opportunity, I returned to South Africa to apply my Australian mining experience within large-scale mining operations. My family and I made the decision to immigrate to New Zealand to provide a safer environment and greater opportunities for our children while continuing to develop my professional career.

To support our long-term migration pathway, I initially worked as an Automotive Electrician, an occupation in high demand in New Zealand , while applying for permanent residency. We were successfully granted New Zealand Permanent Residency in December 2023.

After obtaining permanent residency, I transitioned back into management roles, where my passion and experience lie. Since then, I have continued to build on my leadership capabilities by completing a Bachelor of applied management, majoring in Operations and Production Management and Project Management, while also busy obtaining an A-Grade Quarry Manager Certificate and a Site Senior Executive (SSE) Qualification. These qualifications, combined with more than 17 years of operational and leadership experience, have equipped me with the strategic, commercial and technical expertise required to lead complex operations and drive sustainable business growth.
