Hobbies and Interests

I have a wide variety of interest areas and hobbies. For me my hobbies include Motorcycles, Choir, Guitar, Tramping, skiing, mountaineering, climbing, gym and health. Doing all this has given me a wide variety of things to do and experiences to be had. This has also put me in quite a few challenging situations where things go wrong. So for that reason it has basically allowed me to come at things with a better mindset and has given me strength through these experiences to get through problems when they occur.

Skillssummary

I work as a TA for the university, I am constantly applying this skill through being there for the students to answer questions and help them solve problems. This requires a mix of people and skills in programming to answer their questions. The outcome of this is that the students end up learning in the process of showing them what to do to solve an issue., So I was working with agile and scrum when I was doing the software development practice paper. Here I faced the issue where communication was an issue between members. I learnt through the process that I needed to rely less on the leader for guidance and instead rely on my own skillset. This could have been averted by better utilizing other team members I had. The other thing I realized reflecting on this is that at the end of the day the situation occurred due to being in an educational environment. Where as if it was a real workplace then there would have been no issues here in the project for software development practice., When undertaking group projects I found it important to use GitHub as a versioning tool. At first I found it challenging to use. But as time went on I started to find it very useful when working with larger groups and bigger code bases. It reduced the amount of work on a project that was needed when combining 2 peoples code together., In software development practice, web development and doing basic websites in college. I learnt how to write and maintain hardcoded websites with a variety of languages such as html, css, JavaScript, typescript, mongo, sql, php, react and angular. I used these tools to build proper websites which both look good and work efficiently.
