  • I include this to explain any gaps in my Automotive history.
  • I have invested in commercial property for the last 28 years specializing in securing property with various problems then sorting the issues, maximize the return on investment then holding. This requires another CV to be covered properly.
  • This business allowed me to retire in 2019.
  • 6 months later I got bored and started up new company Rosefern Ltd with partners where we specialized in leveling and renovating properties damaged in the Christchurch Earthquakes. In 2020 we had 38 properties on the books at various stages of repair over the calendar year.
  • From 1995 to 2014 I also co-owned Hair Dressing and Tanning Salons: The Cutting Club (Takapuna) and Boston Hair (Milford) which were successful. I managed admin, finance, accounting, tech, staff, store fit outs and maintenance for these businesses for 19 years.
  • From 1989 to 1991 I also owned and ran North Harbour Heating Installations which I sold on leaving NZ. I was a licensed Solid Fuel Heating Installer.

  • Work was 24/7 on call and included marine power systems, cranes, trucks, cars, tractors, earth moving gear, forklifts, Oil field related power packs such as: Mud pumps, Generators, Winches, Compressors, etc.

  • For 7 months in this period, I also ran Lawnboys Belmont retail store for the owner. Covering everything involved in running a retail store.

  • Went for a change to lighter out door power equipment, mainly general lawn care and golf course related machinery. There was motor cycle and light marine as well.
  • This was a self start position where I booked in the work, organized the parts required, then repaired and invoiced. organized pick up and payment.
  • 1 day a week was spent selling machinery retail and processing the warranty claims.
