Joshua Pumipi

Tēnā koe , I am a Senior 3rd-year Undergrad with 200+hrs of financial / tax accounting work experience looking to intern and eventually work in the Kāinga Ora finance department. My mother has worked 30+ years in service of Housing NZ & now Kāinga Ora as a tenancy manager, and since an early age, I have been heavily involved with Kāinga Ora's filing systems, work-spaces, and tenancy specifications & handling. Given this and my strong work ethic, I believe I am qualified / suited for this finance intern role.

ACG Strathallan's Local Charity Service:

• As part of a high school community group, we undertook weekly visits to help at the Papakura Marae Soup Kitchen distributing dinners to underprivileged children and families.

40 Hour Famine:

• During my tenure at ACG Strathallan, I participated in multiple 40 hour famine events in which I rose approximately $500 for hungry children and the World Vision project.

Charity Contributions:

• Ever since I was little, me and my parents have made many short and long-term contributions to charities involved in helping the blind, elderly care, St John funding, & the Red Cross.

ARIS Enterprise Architecture Certificate

• Fundamental understanding of Business Process Management (BPM), modelling with Event-driven Process Chains (EPC) and BPM Modeling Notations.

IIBA Academic Certificate

• Internationally recognised by IIBA in understanding foundational Business Analysis practices and methodology.

DataCamp Proficiency Achievement

• Passed DataCamp Proficiency Standards for SQL, Python, & R

What am I interested in?

• Technology & Computer Science, Philosophy, and Economics + International trade trends

What do I enjoy doing?

• Researching and testing philosophical positions — I think it is extremely important to have a philosophical foundation from which to draw practical conclusions!, and
• Rugby in general is something I enjoy playing, watching from the sidelines, and going to events — especially days where the Chiefs smash the Blues. I hope to get back into playing post-university.
