I am an enthusiastic and reliable first-year student who enjoys working with others and contributing to a positive team environment. I am eager to always get involved, learn new skills, not afraid to make mistakes and love meeting new people. With a strong work ethic and a positive attitude, I am committed to making a valuable contribution.
As First Year Representative and on the executive team for Auckland University Indian Society, I supported first-year students by acting as a bridge to the executive team and ensuring their voices were represented. I also assisted with event planning, including leading events, outreach, and creating brand partnerships to grow the society’s presence, while also contributing to social media, email communications, and dance choreography. Through these efforts, I helped strengthen student connections to both the club community and their cultural roots.
I love numbers and using critical thinking to solve problems, which is why a degree in accounting is the perfect fit for me. I also love to dance and have been dancing and competing for around 9 years, I thrive in a competitive environment and always want to put my best foot forward. Recently I've also really began to enjoy event management, having to communicate with vendors, budgeting, working with a team and putting together events for university students has been a really enjoyable experience for me. I am fluent in 3 languages - English, Hindi and Marathi (Indian languages).
