• Set the schedules for patients’ needs and determine a plan of care by the suitable application of Nurse Practice Standards and the nursing code of conduct.
• Assess all new patients according to ABCDE and prioritize the needs, obtain medical history, and determine initial and long-term course of action for treatment in accordance with hospital policies and procedures as well as directives from physicians.
• Provide care as determined by assessment of patient’s status, medical chart, and request to ensure that the hospital visit remains a positive and nurturing experience.
• Communicate with patient, coworkers and physicians and review nursing assessments and directives each shift to ensure patient’s wellbeing.
