- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
- Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level.
- Assemble and fasten material together to construct wood or metal framework of structure, using bolts, nails, or screws.
- Bore boltholes in timber, masonry or concrete walls, using power drill.
- Fabricate and make openings (windows and door Frames) of all types and sizes asper drawings
- Fabricate roof trusses of all types and sizes as per drawings making sure that it is true and correct.
- Fabricate parts, using woodworking machines.
- Cut or saw boards, timbers, or plywood to required size, using handsaw, power saw, or woodworking machine.
- Mark cutting lines on materials, using pencil and scriber
- Cut out Dwangs and nail them to studs of all sizes using state of the art computerize machines
- Fabricate and make wall frames of all sizes ensuring that it is square and flush before singing off the QUALITY ASSURANCE completion form before packaging
Remove all underwater gears from Vessel and take them to the workshop for inspection and repair and install them making sure that the fleet engineer approves all stages of installation.
Check and inspect all underwater gears are inspected by the fleet engineer before undocking
Dismantle all valves and types for cleaning, inspection, lapping, crack testing and pressure testing
Clean propeller shafts and do crack testing on the keyways and taper
Repair all wood works on the crew mess and crew accommodation if needed
Assist shipwrights or carpenters on all carpentry works on the vessel
Straighten damaged propeller blades and balance
Do inspections during and after trial voyages
Assist the welders on all down end and vertical welds if needed
Conduct ultrasonic testing and make reports
Do inspections, pressure tests and repairs on boilers and boiler valves and assist with local government authority on boiler inspections and testing.
- Oversee activities directly related to making products or providing services.
- Direct and coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with the production, pricing, sales, or distribution of products.
- Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures,organization officials, and staff members as necessary.

Maintain 2 x 12ton JIB cranes
Maintain and overhaul gen sets 4 x 300kva
Oversee all hydraulic systems for FDD
Ensure all preventative maintenance are adhered too
See to the ballast tanks are maintained to Marine operational standards and take ultrasonic and metal thickness test on all bulk heads and replace twisted bulk heads and twisted beams with new and approved beams and bulk heads to the correct thickness and marine standards.
Organize shifts for the daily operational watch
Maintain and procure our Floating Dry Dock stores and do monthly stock take and present reports to divisional accountant.
