  • Proactive ONT; MDU technical installation. Programming ONT (Optical Network Terminal), residential and business fibre connections within SDU, ROW and MDU premises to achieve a 100% connectivity.
  • Installs FTP, ITP, ONT, routers and switches for 200k plus Canterbury customers, Determines most effective methodologies and undertakes civil installation of fibre ducts/cables (hand trench, concrete cut, slot cut, terrasaw, machine trencher, fence line, boundary joints), in accordance with plans and site specific requirements.
  • Competent in using fibre blowing equipment including compressor, air gun and fibre gun (for 2F, 6F, 12F, 24F). Understands and selects correct tubes for connection.
  • Undertake physical tasks to prepare; carry out installation; and reinstate the site including (but not limited to) shoveling/digging, raking, concrete break-out/removal; grass reinstatement; hand excavation; wheelbarrowing; plant removal/trimming/maintenance; soil/shingle spreading; hand digging trenches; potholing by hand; laying and pulling cable; basic reinstatement of earthworks.
