I am volunteering with Lake House as their archivist which involves carrying out an oral history project in conjunction with Auckland libraries, and researching and writing a book in honour of the upcoming 25th anniversary of the art centre opening.

  • My role here involved fulfilling customers orders from website through to collection by the couriers, preparing merchandise for shipment ensuring both safe delivery and appropriate presentation, receiving, inspecting, labeling and inventorying all incoming merchandise, and, working alongside and training other staff where necessary
  • This was a wonderfully flexible role while my children were at home with me some days before starting school

  • Company Overview: This research was a joint project between Massey University (Paul Spoonley) and the New Zealand government to better understand social changes as experienced by youths around the country
  • Conducting focus groups at high schools
  • Analysing the transcripts from these and other focus groups from around the country to draw out key themes and highlight poignant verbatim remarks
  • Drafted a report for each of the five research locations which was then completed by the lead researcher and presented to the government as part of the projects findings
  • This research was a joint project between Massey University (Paul Spoonley) and the New Zealand government to better understand social changes as experienced by youths around the country
