I am seeking a flexible, part-time role that allows me to contribute my skills while maintaining time for my young family. A few words I would use to describe myself are; happy, friendly, organised, reliable and curious.
I am volunteering with Lake House as their archivist which involves carrying out an oral history project in conjunction with Auckland libraries, and researching and writing a book in honour of the upcoming 25th anniversary of the art centre opening.
A diverse role supporting the local community in a number of different ways, including; assisting customers with technological issues, promoting self service options for future use, helping customers find reference material, building relationships with frequent visitors, providing excellent customer service to all library patrons, and, working collaboratively with other library and council staff
I was fortunate to spend nearly seven years at home with my children
During this time I've been involved in numerous community events such as organising and running kindergarten fundraisers, collecting and distributing toys and clothes for local children at Christmas, and being an active member of Playcentre and our local toy library
