- Company Overview: Contractor for North Power, involved in locating live power cables and installing power infrastructure.
- I was a Hydro vac operator. It is a truck that has a massive vacuum and high-powered high-pressure hose that were dig through the dirt while the vacuum would suck up the dirt and I would locate the powerlines that the machinery couldn’t get through to.
- We would be contracted to them as we would go and locate live power cables underneath the ground.
- We would also dig up holes, dig up old power poles and install new ones around the Auckland suburbs.
- This was constant work all day every day 6 days a week sometimes I would work 7 and every day would be different power poles or digging up live power cables to install Transformers and power supply to houses.
