  • During this time, I tutored in CRIM326 (Criminology Research Methods), CRIM322 (Crime, Deviance and Popular Culture), CRIM325 (Drugs, Risk and Play), and CRIM111 (Introduction to Criminology) at Victoria University of Wellington
  • I strove to ensure that students were engaging with the course content and participating in the tutorials
  • When it came to assignment feedback, I made an effort to provide helpful, individual feedback that gave students areas to focus on in the future
  • I developed good relationships with the students, and that made it easier for them to come to me with any issues they were having
  • Tutoring in 2020 and 2021 also allowed me to develop some skills in online teaching, as much of the first trimester of 2020 was taught online
  • This has made me a confident teacher over Zoom, and the switch to other forms of online teaching since such as grading via Turnitin, has only expanded my knowledge and interest of these digital systems
