• Senior commercial lead responsible for the successful delivery of complex, high-end developments across Auckland. Comfortable operating in a hybrid capacity encompassing commercial leadership, tender strategy, project management, and client engagement. Recognised for a hands-on, solutions-focused approach and a consistent ability to deliver commercially sound outcomes on technically challenging projects.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead all commercial aspects across the full project lifecycle — from feasibility and ECI through to construction and handover — on projects ranging from $20M to $100M+.
• Act as Commercial Lead and Tender Lead on competitive, negotiated, and ECI procurement models, providing strategic cost advice and driving value throughout.
• Champion Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) processes to agree on buildability solutions, mitigate risk, and establish clear commercial frameworks pre-contract.
• Take ownership of project delivery in a hybrid role (PM/QS) where required, ensuring alignment between cost, programme, and quality outcomes.
• Build and sustain long-term client relationships through transparency, proactive communication, and dependable delivery.
• Lead the training and professional development of junior QSs and cadets, contributing to a high-performance team culture.

Key Project Highlights:

• Catalina Bay Precinct – Commercial lead on a multi-stage waterfront development, delivering high-end apartments and mixed-use spaces from initial cost plan to practical completion.
• Little Creatures Brewery – Hobsonville – Adaptive reuse of a historic hangar into a large-scale hospitality venue; recognised with an NZIOB award nomination for leadership.
• Commercial Bay Retail – Led site-based commercial management for the successful delivery of New Zealand’s premier CBD retail precinct under a fast-track programme.
