My name is Salati UIti and I am of Samoan and Tokelauan decent, born here in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
I would describe myself as a caring Social Worker offering case management with proven competence to quickly build trust and rapport with rangatahi and whānau from diverse cultures.
I am passionate about working with rangatahi in the hopes to stop further offending and support them with the help of whānau and services in the community to become the best version of themselves.
I gained my Bachelors Degree in Social in 2020 and went straight into working with Oranga Tamariki as a Youth Justice Social Worker, and continue to work in this role, however in a different area to where I began my journey.
I currently live in Central Otago and will be returning to Wellington and hope I can return to the Youth Justice team to continue to support rangatahi and whānau in this space.
