I am a 41 year old, hardworking, individual, born and raised in New Zealand . My partner Kathy and I have been together over 9 year and shear 3 bright boys together {17,15,6} , and I have been a part of the New Zealand Dairy Industry for the last 15 ½ years and Kathy has been farming with me for the last 8 years the Dairy industry has been an integral part of mine. I am a very passionate, energetic, charismatic and ambitious person, who has developed a strong likeness and admiration of the Dairy Industry in New Zealand . Dedication, honesty, perseverance and hard work has helped me grow my skill set and progress in my Dairy Farming career. I pride myself on these core values, which has equipped me to excel in Pasture Management, Animal health and Husbandry, problem solving ability and smooth day to day running of the farm operations. I thrive to succeed with new challenges using my experience, knowledge and skill set, while motivating my team and those around me to achieve their full potential. Together my partner and I have run Waione Adventures {Contract Milking } for 2 years with 1 staff member, and with this we have dealt with Accounts, payrolls, timesheet, contracts and budgets. Health and Safety Putting things in perspective, all my experience and knowledge has got me ready to take on Contract Milking and make my mark in the Sector. I endure to keep updating my knowledge base of the industry, and organisations and short courses such as Primary ITO, Minda training, discussion groups and Dairy NZ have helped me do just that

All pasture management (feed allocations, create and implement feed budgets as well as autumn and spring rotation plans) • Calf rearing (set and monitors calving and calf rearing plan) • Mating season (select bulls as well as create/implement the mating plan) • Herd health management (body condition scoring and weighing, administrating/recording treatments) • Farm inspection (record information and carry out inspection alongside the farm consultant ) • Staff management (rostering and managing hours) • Reports (create and complete weekly, monthly and annual reports for farm owner) • Arrange deliveries of concentrate when appropriate, contact vet, hoof trimmer, and contractors when necessary • Financials (assist in creating, monitoring and analyzing financial budgets alongside farm owner)

First Contract Milking position 720 Cows 54 Bail Rotary rearing 140 calves cell count below 100 3 full time staff. Day to day running of the farm as owner lived off farm in christchurch . I developed my understanding and skills around the principles of seasonal grazing and rotation (grass and crop) management. I had an excellent relationship with the farm owners, who trusted me to run the farm . This meant I was responsible for all day to day operations as well as managing the grazing rotation and delegating tasks . I regularly used Mindr and ProTrack. I was responsible for managing the effluent irrigator on a daily basis.
