Skills

  • Team Work: I enjoy participating in team work tasks where I am able to actively listen to the different opinions while also observing verbal and non verbal messages that have been sent which then gives me a chance to provide appropriate feedback to the rest of the team
  • Samoan Fluency: This has helped me with my communication skills towards Samoan people that may not understand or speak English This will help benefit me in the future when situations like this will happen
  • Flexible Schedule: I make time to organise my schedule that is suitable for me especially if there is going to be any changes For instance, when I was a Care Worker at an elderly home, my schedule was constantly changing and so this experience has taught me how to prepare for instances like this as well as to organise my time wisely
  • Organisational Skills: I am very organised, for instance making sure that I am prepared before going to class and I also make sure that my tasks are completed before the due date
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: I am able to adjust to any new environments I may be in, and I am able to give a positive impact while taking on new responsibilities
  • Interpersonal Skills: I have the ability to communicate well with other people, for instance, when I was a Care Worker, I had to communicate a lot with nurses and other care workers especially on busy days where communication was the key to getting everything done well and on time, and so this has helped me to improve on my interpersonal skills

Hobbies

  • I enjoy playing different sports, mostly Volleyball which has helped me gain skills such as team work which has helped me learn how to work in a group and being able to listen and give feedback which made this useful to me on a daily basis, being self disciplined has helped me improve on my technique and by having this skill it has been beneficial every day.
  • I enjoy listening to music, and this has been a huge benefit to me because it allows me to have a clear head on things and music has been able to be relaxing and stress free.
  • I enjoy reading because it's has been another way of relieving stress and is relaxing as well. Reading has also helped me exercise my brain and improve on my reading skills.
  • I love to travel to different places around the world, being able to discover new things and learn about the different cultural aspects from different countries is such a fun experience.
  • I love being outdoors such as hiking, another way of relieving stress and being able to connect with nature while also getting exercise as well.
