Marine Engineer aboard a number of vessels throughout my time with the company, generally responsible for an engine room watch for 24 hours (unmanned ER at night). I had main responsibility for waste, steam, and fuel systems as a junior engineer. this included FO/LO purifier maintenance, sewage system monitoring, boiler maintenance and water testing, and assisting other members of the engineering department with their tasks such as main engine work, deck machinery, lifeboat/rescue boat, etc. If it turns, pumps, leaks, or squeaks, I'd be looking after it.
