- Work over the university holidays.
- Performed daily animal husbandry duties, such as drenching, vaccination and tailing. Other farm practices included fencing, mustering and yard work.
- Over my time on Maungatiro I learnt vital communication skills and how to work well as a team.

- Farm practices consists of mustering, tailing, yard work, tractor work and farm maintenance.

- I worked two consecutive summers on the dairy farming.
- I spent a predominant amount of time milking over my two summers but between milkings I shifted brakes, sprayed weeds and did a wide variety of farm maintenance around the property.
- One of the key learnings which I gained over my duration on the dairy farm was time management and ensuring I was efficient with my time.
