YANYAN CAO

I am YANYAN CAO, but you can also call me Vivian. I immigrated to New Zealand from China in 2016. Prior to my relocation, I had been working in the import and export industry in China. Upon arriving in New Zealand, I discovered that land business here are quite different from those in China. In China, land ownership is not permanent, whereas here, land can be freely bought and sold. This stark contrast piqued my interest in land development. Since establishing my company in 2018, I have independently and actively participated in six land development projects, all of which are located in Auckland. In recent years, there has been a rapid growth in high-density residential development in Auckland, transitioning from the traditional standalone projects favored by Kiwis. My academic background lies in Multimedia Arts during college, but during the foundation year, I spent six months studying content related to Interior Design. At that time, I also had a strong interest in Interior Design. Now that I work in a related field, I hope to have the opportunity to further my knowledge in the relevant discipline by studying at UNITEC.
