I am highly committed to furthering my education in the subjects of economics, finance, and business since I am a very motivated and accomplished person. I've actively sought ways to connect theory with practice throughout my time in academia. This has included participating in internships and research projects, where I've had the chance to put what I've learned in the classroom to use in real-life scenarios. I am eager for the chance to contribute my enthusiasm, energy, and analytical skills to the academic community and am inspired by the intellectual opportunities and challenges that will come with my pursuit of a degree in commerce.
I volunteer for condom packaging to prevent the transmission of STDs weekly, which allows for personal growth, empathy, and knowledge. During each volunteer session, I connect with LGBT people, which helps me have a better understanding of their experiences, problems, and achievements. It challenges preconceived beliefs and biases while encouraging empathy and inclusion. I feel that by actively participating in the LGBTQ+ community, I can help to create a culture that is more inclusive, supportive, and informed of the different experiences of LGBTQ+ people.
Being a member of the annual Rainbow Parade in Auckland. I joined the Burnett Foundation Aotearoa to celebrate the diversity of communities and their rich tapestry of individualism, identity, freedom of expression, community culture, and growing everyday acceptance.
