As a previous Business owner of 16yrs, I'm always leading from the front whether its being first onsite, running morning meetings, planning for the day ahead covering off all aspects to insure that the necessary production is achieved and that everyone returns home safe.
I always put an emphasis on strong communication, mentoring and developing staff and providing a safe environment with a great team culture which helped in producing a positive result whilst always being under pressure, whether its customer, production or environmentally related.
With running a business for 16yrs, extensive management skills, leadership and problem solving have been taught and learnt over this time which involved running our clear fell hauler and ground based logging operation whom we employed up to nine people.
With a National Certificate in Maintenance and Diagnostics in Mechanical Engineering, in which has been very beneficial for our Company in myself being able to find, diagnose and fix faults and preform preventive maintenance on our ten pieces of heavy equipment/machinery where I have gained extensive knowledge and understanding.
During this time I was taken on as a Hydraulic Engineer and completed my Apprenticeship in Maintenance & Diagnostics in Mechanical Engineering. Covering everything from Welding, Machining, Fabrication, hydraulic components & system servicing, diagnose repair, testing parts & equipment once repaired
Maintenance at the local Fibreboard plant which required a high level of workmanship and general repairs in the fitting shop.
Working in all aspects of the logging operation.
Working my way through to Crew Foreman.
